Adani Logistics Opens a New Multimodal Logistics Park at Kila Raipur, Ludhiana in Punjab:

Adani Logistics Ltd. has setup a multimodal logistics park at Kila Raipur of Ludhiana district in Punjab. The inauguration ceremony of the same was held on 10th April, 2017. The facility, which is strategically located will support double stack train services to gateway port of Mundra and Pipavav. It is already underway for domestic cargo and domestic container handling.

Port-led development is going to act as a game changer for the logistics industry. With maritime trade already turning towards a boost in containerization, building on to multimodal logistics park will ensure, the dominance of the trade does not perish (see more)


Project cargo firm Ace Trading & Logistics has transport an over-dimensional yacht to Savannah, Georgia, from Mumbai, India.

The yacht was moved as a single unit, measuring 24 meters long, 6 meters wide, 7 meters high and weighing 70 tons. It was loaded aboard the multipurpose vessel Bahri Jazan in the port of Mumbai and shipped directly to Savannah. Loading and discharge were completed using the Bahri Jazan’s two onboard cranes, each with lifting capacity of 120 tons.

“The entire operation was conducted under the supervision of Ace Trading & Logistics. The cargo was booked by us, loaded on board Bahri Jazan at Mumbai, India, from where it was shipped to Savannah, USA,” a spokesperson for Ace Trading & Logistics said (see more)

Modi makes flying easy for common man, sets up inter-ministerial panel to monitor UDAN:

The government has set up an inter-ministerial committee to monitor the regional air connectivity scheme UDAN which seeks to make flying affordable by connecting unserved and under-served airports. Besides, the panel would be responsible for coordination among stakeholders, including state governments, for “time bound” implementation of the scheme.

The Civil Aviation Ministry has already awarded 128 routes connecting 70 airports to five airlines, including SpiceJet and an Air India subsidiary, under the scheme UDAN (Ude Desh Ka Aam Naagrik) (see more)
